Harbour Way Team Go The Extra (236)Mile For Charity

14 June 2012

Several members of the team behind the new Harbour Way road in Port Talbot are set to push themselves to the limit to raise money for the Special Needs Activity Club in Taibach.

18 staff members are about to undertake a South to North Wales bike ride on 27th June, starting in Aberthaw in the Vale of Glamorgan and finishing 3 days later, after 236 miles, in Cemaes Bay in Anglesey.

Construction Manager, Rob Fancourt, who helped organise the challenge said “We always try to arrange fundraising events that challenge us, and a South to North Wales bike ride, totalling 236 miles, certainly did that.

“We are proud to be doing our bit to raise money for SNAC who, we believe, are a worthwhile charity to support as they are helping local children and their families.”

John Rogers, President of SNAC said “I am delighted to be working with Costain to raise the profile of our club. Our future relies on the generosity of others and through our own tireless fundraising,

“To have Costain pledge to help us raise money means we’ll be able to look at renewing our equipment.”

If you would like to help SNAC by donating money to the bike ride, you can online at www.charitygiving.co.uk/costainsouthtonorth.
