NEATH PORT TALBOT COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

(LEVEL CROSSING AT OAKWOOD ROAD, PORT TALBOT)

ORDER 2011

NOTICE is given that the Council intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended).

The Order will temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding along that length of Oakwood Road, Port Talbot as set out in the Schedule below.

The Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out in connection with the construction of the Port Talbot Peripheral Distributor Road.

The Order will be in force for a period of 18 months from the 11th July 2011 or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.

Whilst the Order is in force the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A48, A4241 and the Docks Road East. Similarly this route will operate in a reverse direction.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

SCHEDULES

Oakwood Road will be closed 40 metres from the junction with the A48 Talbot Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 40 metres to the junction of Cramic Way.
